At Anchor Bible Church, we embrace the opportunity to point your children to the gospel of Jesus Christ. As such, we want your children to be in our worship gathering! It is a great opportunity to train your children in learning to listen to and love the preaching of God's word, as well as learn and sing songs of praise to our great God through music. Most of our families keep their kiddos for the entire worship service. But, we know this is not always possible. Sometimes kids gotta wiggle!
ANCHOR TOTS: ages infant to 5-ish years
We have two designated rooms off the worship center for infants & toddlers. You are welcome to use this space for different reasons:
(1) The Nursing Room = for moms who need to feed or rock
their infants (no men permitted in this room).
(2) The Tots Room = for moms or dads to take their kids
where there are activities and toys and space to move. There are two Tots Rooms that can be utilized in two ways:
- "The Gathering Room" is just off the worship center in
which you can take your own kids into this room whenever
you need for whatever amount of time you need.
- Just before the sermon, trusted & trained volunteers will
be available to take your kiddos to an activity room. During
this time, the volunteers will care for the kids with games,
music, a basic Bible lesson, etc. These volunteers will only
be available from the beginning of the sermon time until
after communion or prayer time (approx. 75mins).
ANCHOR KIDS: ages 6+
At this time, we are not offering any special care for this age range. In years past, we offered a children’s program (Anchor Kids!) during the sermon for appropriated Bible teaching and fun activities for your children. We used the curriculum Generations of Grace, which is a journey through the Bible (from Genesis thru Revelation) that seeks to evangelize children, support families, and strengthen the church's commitment to God, His Word, and His gospel.
If the need arises in the future, we will continue Anchor Kids once more.
